I had a girl seeing me for acupuncture recently and although I was able to relieve her problem, I was not able to really get to the  bottom of it. I had heard really good reports about a sports medicine doctor about an hour from my town and so I suggested to my patient that she go and see him because he may be able to shed some light on her problem.

If you have ever been to many medical specialist than you would know that it can be quite a mixed bag, one might really do a thorough job while another may charge you a fortune for a cursory glance and a prescription for medicine…I was really hoping for my patients sake that this specialist would be the former.

It turned out that this Doctor was an absolute gem and treated my patient with a lot of care and did a thorough job and so I felt prompted to send him a simple thank you card. Here is how it looked;

Apart from the fact that I just genuinely felt I wanted to thank this doctor for doing such a great job, a thank you card like this will help forge a good relationship with this doctor so that if I need to send other people to see  him there will be a good connection established. To create this greeting card I used an image from Morgue File. I used my own handwriting font in this card. It’s amazing how easy it is to create a greeting card and tell someone that you appreciate them. It’s a good feeling for me and I’m sure the recipient will also feel good too.

Business Thank You Card Tip

There are people that are givers by nature and these are the people who appreciate reciprocation the most. You may have heard of Pareto’s Law or sometimes called the 80/20 Principle. In my experience I would say that 80% of my referrals come from 20% of my patients…these are the givers.

I simple card like this just to acknowledge these people goes a long, long way. All you have to do is take 5 minutes out of your day to show them that you appreciate them. Apart from the fact that it’s just good business, first and foremost, it’s just the right thing to do.

There are many businesses that rely on repeat business and the fishing industry is a great example. A thank you card with a picture of the client catching fish is a great way to follow up with them after they have stayed at your lodge.

Here is an example of a fishing lodge, Millbrook Lakes, situated in Victoria, Australia.

I simply cut out and scanned an advert to create this card as an example. The owners of this lodge would be able to make their own cards depending on the images they have. It is a simple matter of uploading the pictures and the card is basically done.

A simple thank you card with a few great pictures of the client catching fish will always be appreciated. It is said that when a person receives a card with a picture in it, the chances of them throwing it away are very slim.
