Even on the grimmest of days, we don’t have to look far to find something or someone to be grateful for. “It may be a dear friend that just called to say hi, a stranger that lent a helping hand as they passed by, a glorious blue sunny day, a colorful bird that made your troubles drift away. Perhaps it was the cool crisp water of a mountain stream, or someone who encouraged your eternal dream. Thankful for that day thats been, thankful for the day unseen,... [Read the full story]

Appreciating Family

In the busy world that we live in, it is such a nice thing to take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the people that are closest to us. I often send greeting cards to thank family members for all sorts of things. It can be as simple as making the effort they made to come and visit, a call, or a gift that I have received for a special occasion. I like to use my digital camera and capture the moment. If we are out at the park playing or having a BBQ, I will take a photo and then surprise them by turning the photo into a great card and sending it in the mail. Sending a thank you card is such... [Read the full story]

What Are Friends For?

You can only see a bit of this picture; this is me getting a fishing lure out of a good friends backside. It was quite a humorous moment. Fortunately my other friend happened to have the camera handy and so we were able to get a snap shot of the biggest hook up of the weekend! Fishing trips for me are always a chance to get away with some good friends and talk about everything under the sun. On this particular fishing trip I had a few problems that I was working out and so it was really great to have my close friends around at that time. I sent the guy whose backside has the hook in it, this card... [Read the full story]

How often do people in your work place make your life easier? Have you ever felt unappreciated for the work that you do? A simple thank you card sent to work colleagues to acknowledge their efforts will go a long way in the office. I work in a marketing team that is scattered across the globe, literally.  I use greeting cards to thank people for their help; encourage people when they are feeling low;  recognize milestones in their career; or congratulate them on a birthday, anniversary, wedding or birth. There are so many reasons to send colleagues cards and then of course you can send one... [Read the full story]

How a Fishing Lodge Can Use Thank You Cards to Get Repeat Business There are many businesses that rely on repeat business and the fishing industry is a great example. A thank you card with a picture of the client catching fish is a great way to follow up with them after they have stayed at your lodge. Here is an example of a fishing lodge, Millbrook Lakes, situated in Victoria, Australia. I simply cut out and scanned an advert to create this card as an example. The owners of this lodge would be able to make their own cards depending on the images they have. It is a simple matter of uploading... [Read the full story]

Referrals are the best business you can ever get. A person that has been referred has had the best possible sales message delivered, straight from the horse’s mouth…a trusted friend. There are a couple of advantages to gaining referrals in your business, perhaps the most obvious is the fact that it didn’t cost you anything in advertising to get a business lead that comes through a referral. Business expenses can be divided into two main categories; 1. Fixed expenses 2. Non-fixed The fixed expenses are the things such as Internet connection, office space rental, phone connection... [Read the full story]

Thinking Of You Greeting Card

Thinking Of You Greeting Card

Do know someone that is always thinking of other people? You know the type, never complain and always wanting to help others… I know a lady that has come to me for acupuncture and she is one of those people. In fact, for the longest time she didn’t tell anyone about her problem because she didn’t want to worry them. This lady is like... Read more of this article

Giving For The Fun Of It

Giving For The Fun Of It

Here are a couple of cards that I sent to my nephews. I included a gift with these cards…a box of brownies for each boy. I live about 3.5 hours away by car and so only get to see them every few months. The first card was for my nephew Seth, I used a trifold card so that I could add more pictures into this card. The picture on the front is a picture... Read more of this article

Thank You For Your Inspiration Greeting Card

Thank You For Your Inspiration Greeting Card

Last weekend I went to a 70th birthday party. There was about 20 people at the party and there was one lady that I had never met before, her name was Gitta. She was a very shy lady, probably in her late 50’s or early 60’s. I started chatting with her and was interested to find out that she was a photographer who was passionate about taking... Read more of this article

Thank You For Your Advice Card

Thank You For Your Advice Card

This was a really nice thank you card to create. It was to a lady that I have known for many years and although we don’t get a chance to catch up often (and sometimes we don’t even contact each other for years) it’s always the same, she’s the type of friend that you can just pick up with and it just seems totally natural. A little... Read more of this article

Thank You Card Journel – October 21st, 2009

Sending thank you cards is such a joy and a very easy thing to do, todays card was no exception. I had a new patient visit my clinic a few weeks ago. I really liked this person straight away, she was; positive, thoughtful, and just a pleasure to treat. Last week she brought me in 6 ducks eggs as a gift and so I wanted to say thanks. Thank You Card Example... Read more of this article

New Beginnings

New Beginnings

This was a card that I created for fellow natural therapies practitioners in my town, Peter and Margaret. They have a clinic called ‘New Beginnings’. They have butterflies on their  business cards and their shop window (symbolic for change which is what is required for any healing to take place). Recently Peter and Margaret decided to leave... Read more of this article

Thank You Card Journel – Zen & The Art Of Appreciation

I really enjoyed sending this card to my sister — recently I went through a very emotionally challenging time personally and my sister really helped me through. When she was younger she would have jumped in with her opinion and told me what she thought I should do but she has grown a lot over the years, emotionally and spiritually. This occasion... Read more of this article
